# DMCA Policy
Effective date: August 15, 2026
This DMCA Policy explains how Itemoro handles U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act notices and counter-notices for Itemoro-controlled hosted content.
Itemoro is a local-first inventory app. This policy applies to Itemoro-controlled hosted content, cloud delivery, public or shared Itemoro links, workspace sharing, server-controlled exports, and other online features controlled by Itemoro. It does not mean Itemoro silently reviews every local photo, local inventory item, local backup, local export, printed label, QR code, barcode, NFC tag, or file stored only on a user's own device.

## No Registered Agent Claim
This page provides Itemoro's current DMCA reporting instructions. Itemoro will not claim that a DMCA designated agent has been registered with the U.S. Copyright Office unless that registration has actually been completed and maintained.
If Itemoro registers a designated DMCA agent, this page should be updated to show the registered agent information and any required public contact details.
## Sending a DMCA Notice
To send a U.S. DMCA notice about allegedly infringing Itemoro-controlled hosted content, email support@itemoro.com with the subject line:
DMCA notice - Itemoro
Include the information required by 17 U.S.C. Section 512, including:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for the owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if one notice covers multiple works.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and enough Itemoro-facing information for us to locate the specific hosted content.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.
Safe Itemoro-facing references may include an Itemoro public/share link, visible item label reference, public hosted page URL, or other visible information that helps identify the specific hosted content. Do not send Firebase UIDs, Firestore paths, Storage paths, workspace IDs, bank account information, credit-card information, government identification, or unrelated private records unless a specific confirmed legal requirement exists.
## What Itemoro May Do
Itemoro may review the notice, ask for more information, preserve legally required records, notify affected users where legally appropriate, restrict access to specific Itemoro-controlled hosted content, disable Itemoro-controlled public or shared links, support response or counter-notice processes, restore content where appropriate, and apply proportionate account or service restrictions in serious or repeated cases.
A DMCA notice is not automatically a finding that infringement occurred. Itemoro will try to keep any action targeted to the specific hosted content involved and preserve unrelated inventory data, item fields, quantities, storage locations, shelf or rack names, bins, compartments, NFC associations, QR codes, barcodes, rentals, packouts, invoices, and unrelated photos where possible.
## Counter-Notice
If your Itemoro-controlled hosted content was removed or disabled because of a U.S. DMCA notice and you believe the removal or disabling happened because of mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to support@itemoro.com with the subject line:
DMCA counter-notice - Itemoro
Include the information required by 17 U.S.C. Section 512, including:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal or disabling.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal district court, or if your address is outside the United States, to a federal district court where the service provider may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the DMCA notice or that person's agent.
Itemoro may forward a valid counter-notice to the original complainant where legally appropriate. Restoration depends on the applicable legal process, timing, backend review, and whether further legal action is reported.
## Repeat Infringement and Abuse
Itemoro may track relevant legal case history server-side. A submitted complaint is not automatically a strike. Rejected, insufficient, abusive, reversed, or restored cases should not be treated the same as actionable cases.
Serious or repeated misuse may lead to proportionate service restrictions, such as limiting cloud uploads, public/shared links, workspace sharing, or other online features where legally appropriate.
## Local Data and Offline Devices
A hosted-content restriction does not automatically authorize Itemoro to silently delete a user's local Itemoro-managed image or original Gallery, Photos, Downloads, SD-card, or Files-app source. Offline devices may not receive a hosted-content restriction until they reconnect.
## Other Copyright or Content Complaints
If your complaint is not a U.S. DMCA matter, use the Copyright & Content Complaints page for broader reporting instructions:

Country and region procedures may differ. Itemoro may use different workflow routes for Canadian, European, United Kingdom, Australian, New Zealand, Singapore, U.S., or global manual review matters. These routes do not mean Itemoro claims a specific legal status, registration, or safe-harbor qualification.

## Owner Review Before Launch
This policy should be reviewed by the owner and, ideally, qualified legal counsel before public launch. Public DMCA agent registration, if needed, must be handled separately through the applicable U.S. Copyright Office process and kept current.
